Mark Patterson has produced feature films set in Australia, China, India, France and Hawaii as well as documentary series and one-off programs. Mark has produced larger scale films as well as small intimate art house films. He has extensive experience in producing films with CGI characters and effects. A centre piece to his career has been to developed strong partnerships with key creatives which include internationally renowned Director Paul Cox. Mark produced Cox’s semi auto-biographical FORCE OF DESTINY (2014), HUMAN TOUCH (2004), the documentaries THE REMARKABLE MR. KAYE (2006) and KALAUPAPA HEAVEN (2007) and box office and festival hit INNOCENCE (2000). In 2012 he formed Dream TV with director and long time friend Kay Pavlou to produce RACE TO LONDON (2012) a 6 part documentary series for ABC1. In 2011 he partnered with leading VFX house Rising Sun Pictures, heading up a content division, Rising Sun Entertainment. His international experience saw him produce THE DRAGON PEARL (2010), the first official Australian/Chinese official Co-Production which featured the first Party approved CGI Dragon. Mark has filled senior positions with the South Australian Film Corporation, and Film South.
Kay Pavlou is a multi-award-winning director. Born in Australia to Greek Cypriot parents, her stories transverse subjects and worldwide locations. Kay’s career has been equally split between drama and documentary; fact and fiction. She has two longstanding creative relationships spanning many years with Rosemary Blight, of Goalpost Pictures, and Mark Patterson, of Go Patterson Films, with whom she formed Dream TV.
In drama, Kay has directed McLEOD'S DAUGHTERS, ALL SAINTS and LOVE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD. Kay's short film, THE KILLING OF ANGELO TSAKOS and her feature film, MARY, were both produced by Rosemary Blight. In documentary, Kay was Series Director and Producer, alongside Mark Patterson, for RACE TO LONDON. Kay has directed several episodes of WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? (Magda Szubanski, Michael O’Loughlin and Adam Goodes), FAMILY CONFIDENTIAL (The Costellos), MONUMENTAL VISION – China (Landscape art), FAMILY FOOTSTEPS (Armenia and Tonga), SUSPICION MINDS (Forensic cases), DESPERATELY SEEKING SHEILA (rural bachelors find their love match), GANGS OF OZ (dramatizations of real crimes) NOT A BEDROOM WAR (International women leaders meet in Ireland), PIRATE PATROL (Australian Navy in the Arabian Gulf) and CYPRUS – A PEOPLE DIVIDE.
